Sambisa Forest: 11 ISWAP Militants Are Killed By The Army.

After being sent on a special clearance operation in Sambisa Forest, Nigerian Army troops have killed eleven terrorists from the Islamic States of West Africa Province.

This was revealed on Saturday by the Nigerian Army via a statement posted on its official X Handle. According to the report, the achievement was made possible by well-coordinated special clearing operations using a hybrid force against the militants’ stronghold in Jongo Village, which is located within the infamous Sambisa Forest.

It said that once the forces opened fire on the terrorists within the enclave, some of them were killed and others scattered.

According to the army, its soldiers carried out further exploitation in front of the enclave, which resulted in the seizure of several weapons.

The post states that the weapons comprise two locally manufactured firearms, three AK-47 rifle magazines, ninety-nine 7.62 x 54mm metal link rounds, and nineteen 7.62 x 39mm bullets.

“This triumphant endeavor highlights the operational efficiency of the Nigerian military in counterterrorism and maintaining security inside the area.

It is certain that the elimination of ISWAP terrorists and the seizure of their weapons would improve local security and stability. It claimed, “This further demonstrated the Nigerian millitary’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and protecting the citizens.”
