The Federal Government has announced that the next phase of the recruitment exercise for the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service will commence in August.
Ja’afaru Ahmed, Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, made this announcement in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja.
Ahmed indicated that the recruitment process, initially scheduled to conclude by June 15, 2024, will now be completed before the end of September 2024.
He stated, “The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board wishes to inform the general public that the next stage of the recruitment exercise will begin in August and will be concluded before the end of September 2024.”
Ahmed assured that all shortlisted candidates would be notified of the upcoming stage of the recruitment process through their provided contact information.
The Secretary also apologized for the delay in completing the exercise as initially planned, attributing it to manpower audits conducted by the Services under the Board.
“We apologize for our inability to complete the process by June 15, 2024, as previously scheduled. This delay was due to a nationwide manpower audit exercise carried out in the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, which has just recently concluded,” he explained.
Ahmed emphasized that all shortlisted candidates would be informed of the next stage via their phone numbers and email addresses.
