#EndBadGovernance Protes continues on Monday Despite Tinubu’s speech – Sowore

Rights activist Omoyele Sowore has announced that the EndBadGovernance protest will continue on Monday.

Since last Thursday, Nigerians have been protesting against the hardship and suffering in the country. The nationwide protest, tagged EndBadGovernance, is expected to last for 10 days.

The first three days of the protest saw violence in some northern states, with security operatives dispersing protesters with tear gas in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Kaduna.

Sowore has instructed protesters to gather at Ojota before proceeding to Alausa, the Lagos State Secretariat, on Monday.

Posting on X, Sowore wrote: “Please be aware that the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria action will resume fully tomorrow across Nigeria and in several parts of Lagos—Lekki Toll Gate, Alausa Secretariat, former Lagos Toll Gate, Ketu, LASU Gate, Abule Egba, FESTAC Town, and several other centres.

“However, all groups are advised to march towards Ojota before processions to the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa.”

With the protest ongoing, Nigerians have urged President Bola Tinubu to address the nation and meet the demands of the protesters.
