American music mogul and business tycoon Sean Combs, known as ‘Diddy,’ has been implicated in the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. According to new documents reported by The U.S. Sun, Diddy is accused of paying $1 million to Duane Davis, also known as Keefe D, who was arrested in 2023 for Tupac’s murder.
In the documents filed on Thursday, July 18, Diddy is mentioned 77 times under various aliases, including Puffy, Puff Daddy, Puff, and his legal name, Sean Combs.
“Defendant [Keefe] has publicly claimed that he only incriminated himself and did not intend to provide evidence against anyone else in his conversations with police. However, this statement contradicts his claim, as he suggested that Sean Combs paid Eric Von Martin a million dollars for the killings,” the documents partially read.
In one of the transcripts, Davis allegedly testified about Diddy’s involvement in 2Pac’s murder. When police asked Davis, “Does Puffy Combs play a role in this thing?” Davis responded, “Yeah, I think he did.”
Davis stated that Diddy told him and about 45 others that he “would give anything” for Suge Knight’s “head” because he was “scared” of him and had issues with Shakur, who had released a diss track about him.
Prosecutors filed these documents to oppose Davis’ latest bail request. His $112,500 bail bond was rejected last month due to concerns about the source of the money.
It remains unclear if Diddy will be subpoenaed or indicted as part of the case.
