Lagos creating opportunities for residents – Sanwo-Olu

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Monday said the state was working to create opportunities for residents.

The governor, who chaired the State Executive Council meeting, said in a post on X.com that the council addressed “a range of issues impacting our state and outlined strategies to tackle them.”

He said, “Our discussions focused on the peaceful advancement and significant growth that Lagos is currently experiencing.

“As we work to create more opportunities for all residents, I am optimistic about our collective capacity to foster a vibrant community. Our vision for a prosperous Lagos is steadily becoming a reality through hard work and commitment. The future of Lagos is promising.

“Together, we are cultivating an environment where every Lagosian can thrive. Let’s continue to move forward with determination and unity.”

The state executives are meeting for the first time since the nationwide protest against hunger began in Lagos.

On Sunday evening, the governor said following the protests in the state, he had directed the Ministry of Youth and Social Development; Ministry of Information and Strategy and Office of Civic Engagement to immediately open wider channels of engagement with various stakeholders, including the protest leaders.
